While technically not an assignment, shooting the many wonders and incredible landscapes of the Faroe Islands wasn’t something I could resist sharing as part of my portfolio. A self-governing part of the Kingdom of Denmark, the Faroe Islands are located in the North Atlantic Ocean somewhere between Iceland and Norway just over 300 kilometers off the coast of Scotland. Consisting of 18 volcanic islands the Faroes are home to an incredible density of mind bogglingly beautiful rocks emerging from the icy depths of the ocean. Many of the sights require challenging and sometimes long hikes through muddy, rocky and grassy terrain inhibited primarily by sheep and a number of bird types (including the tiny but very colorful puffins). And yet, despite wind and rain often exposing visitors to nature’s roughest of scratches, you’re guaranteed to be rewarded with mind blowing landscapes anywhere you turn.

Shot on a7iii, Canon 70d and DJI Mavic 2 Pro.
